CVS/Pharmacy 8-5 (11-2-06) Cat or Bear?

Today was a nice day until this little old lady came into the store... Actually she made my day even better.

Three of my associates saw this lady change the price on a plant... Why they didn't confront her about it and came to give me the heads up... I will never know why.

So the little old lady comes up to my register and starts trying to make nice conversation. The plant she was trying to get had an animal next to the side of the plant container. She asked me what kind of animal it was... It was a fucking cat.

She kept saying she thinks it isn't a cat... So I had to point out the main features of one. She came out with, "Oh, I thought it was a bear."

Me, still being nice, ask her if she still wants the item since it isn't a bear. She tells me yes that it is ok still.

Now for everybody that has ever worked in a store should know that when there is a price change on an item that has a sticker on it. Another sticker with the new price is placed it on. Yes? If you disagree... Just nod and smile.

I look for the price on the item and it turns out... It is on the bottom of the plant. I flip it on the side expecting to see just another sticker on the normal price tag. That is what I found... But this one was hanging on for dear life.

I explained to the lady that I can't scan this item so I will need to go check the prices on the other plants. I actually don't... What I do is watch her from far away and just waste my time.

After waiting for not even a minute... I watched this lady run or power walk out of the store.

P.S. I finished the cigs today :P
